Early Learning
Dream Center Evansville’s early childhood pathway seeks to ensure children are ready for kindergarten and parents are supported in the early years of their children’s lives. Brain development is the most rapid in infants through age 8, with 85% of the brain developed by 5 years of age. This means that early childhood is a critical opportunity for learning and development that sets the stage for children to experience success in school and for years to come.
Beginning as early as pre-natal, Dream Center’s Early Childhood Pathway staff walk with both children and their parents through the following programs and engagement opportunities.

EAGLETS
Eaglets is a no-cost Pre-K program for Jacobsville children who will be 4 years of age by August 1st and beginning kindergarten the following year. We provide an engaging learning curriculum with hands-on activities that ignites curiosity and a love of learning. Eaglets is a half-day program that includes breakfast and lunch for students who attend.

PROMISE PLAY ACADEMY
Promise Play Academy provides an opportunity for families with young children to come together and build community while learning through play. Engaging activities are built around a storytime, children receive books to build their early literacy home libraries, and parents are equipped to promote learning in everyday activities with their children. Promise Play Academy meets on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month at 9:30 a.m.

STRONG STARTS
Strong Starts is a 8 week course for parents that promotes resilient parenting strategies and an understanding of child development. Participants develop a sense of community with Early Childhood Pathway staff and other parents, creating new connections they can depend on for support, insight, empathy, and encouragement. Childcare is provided and parents who complete the program receive a monetary grant into a 529 College Fund for their child.
